A&P (DC) vs. Foley Hoag (DC)

Is there any reason I should pick Foley Hoag over A&P? Considering the DC office of both and looking to go into life sciences/healthcare regulatory work. A&P seems like the obvious choice, but just want to make sure I'm not missing something.

Hi sorry - I don't have much to contribute to either firm discussion, but would you mind sharing your timeline from the screener to offer for both firms?

I don't think you're missing anything. Foley would only be the obvious winner if you wanted to do international work.

I'm also under the impression Foley Hoag doesn't offer their summer class permanent positions the way large firms do. (That's what they told me during my screener.)

A&P, and I wouldn't say it's a particularly close call at all imo

A&P has its issues for sure, but it’s still a respected hometown DC firm that has strong regulatory practices. Seems like a no brained if these are the options.

A&P associate who has repeatedly posted about the firm’s botching of the bonus situation and complete lack of transparency.

Despite these issues, I agree A&P is the right choice here, especially for your interests.

A&P is a very respected firm in DC.

I didn’t even know Foley Hoag had a DC office.

A&P for sure. I got an offer last year and really loved everyone at the firm. The only negative thing I can say about them is that last year they shortened their summer program without paying for 10 weeks (which the firm I selected did). I imagine firms won't be having this problem in 2021.
