Corporate or Commercial Lit for business strategy?

Looking to exit medium-to-long (or hell, short) term to a strategy / management role in a non-legal capacity.

My question is whether doing commercial lit or M&A / corporate work would be better to make the move and, specifically, to learn more about business operations beyond the legal. To be honest, the latter sounds kinda numbing and focused on doc review, diligence, etc. matters that don't implicate the big picture, but I'm talking out of my ass since I haven't worked in it yet.
