The message title pretty much sums up my question. I am from Southern California and was just wondering about big law opportunities in Orange County. How does it compare to those in Los Angeles? For me personally, I would rather work in Orange County and so I was curious about how the pay in OC differs than in LA if it does. Thanks!

Not in OC, but I'm at a big firm in SD and have multiple friends who work at firms in OC. Definitely fewer exit opportunities in OC compared to LA. Litigation is typically run out of firms' LA offices. There's typically less variety in terms of practice areas as well (not to mention the fact that LA obviously has more firms). However, OC definitely has more exit opportunities than SD. All big firms in CA pay market.
