STB v. Fried Frank

I understand that typically, STB would be the obvious choice between STB and Fried Frank in NY. I am highly interested in real estate, but not exclusively, as I also would like to try out different corporate groups like M&A. My understanding is that Fried Frank has a much more robust real estate practice than STB does. Would appreciate any and all advice.

I think you’ve pretty much answered this for yourself. If you really want a robust real estate than FF could make sense and I’m sure you could try other things. However, generally I think STB is a few steps ahead as a firm.

Fwiw, as people on here often say, it’s probably easier to lateral down than up.

STB Real Estate is no joke either. I think this is an easy choice for STB.

Agree with what everyone else said. Also since you're not 100% sold on RE, going to a firm like Simpson will give you more options overall.
