Lateral - Conflicts Question -- Transactional Practice

I'm currently in the midst of conflicts for a lateral offer. I work transactional; finance. A few days ago, my current firm assigned me to a transaction where my future firm is one of the counterparties. As soon as I saw the assignment, I immediately notified the conflicts personnel at my future firm. I've obviously not told my current firm that I will leave and have not notified any associates. Since I was initially put on, I have received further assignments on the deal, and have a hard time begging off (since we are seriously understaffed--one of the many reasons I'm leaving), so I've sent a few emails, drafted some docs, etc. Is this any real concern? Since it's a transactional deal, I figure there's a definitive closing date, which should be in the next couple of weeks, so if any issue, I figure they can hold off till then. But I presume this should be a fairly simple walling off matter? Thanks.

No advice, I just hope you're not leaving my firm because that group is seriously understaffed right now and I cannot imagine another person leaving (but also totally understand why someone would).

I feel your pain.
