looking for thoughts on the culture and outlook of these firms specifically in the litigation/white-collar practice groups. any opinions at all would be helpful. thank you!

For litigation, Weil>STB, Willkie. STB has a strong corporate practice.

I heard STB forced all its litig incoming associates into corporate because they didn't have enough work.

I would think Weil is the best option here.

Not only did weil put every incoming associate in lit who wanted it, everyone got their preferred group.

I do not recall hearing any praises about STB or Willkie culture but I repeatedly hear good things about Weil, from people who go there as well as people who don't. I think that shows.

in terms of practice group, I would not choose Simpson for litigation, you may find yourself not doing the work or getting the exposure at the level of quality and quantity you would like to get if your aspiration is a litigation lawyer
