What Would You Do? (Lateral Hire Ghosted by Partner)

Curious thoughts on here about my current situation.
By way of background, I am leaving biglaw for a regional firm. After giving notice to my biglaw firm, I contacted one of the partners with whom I spoke at my new firm to chat about what is coming down the pipe, but more than anything, to reassure myself I am making a good decision. Partner didn't answer when I called at the time we agreed, and never called back or emailed. A few days later I kindly tried to set up another time. This partner apologized, said he had a fire drill come up and proposed another time, but then didn't respond when I called at that time and hasn't emailed or called back.
Am I being overly neurotic in being concerned about this? I am hoping that this move will be a longterm thing, and my prior interactions during the recruiting phase, including with this partner, were positive. But I am put off by this interaction and wondering if this is an indication of how I will be treated at new firm (i.e., with total disregard). As terrible as my biglaw firm is, I am pretty confident no partner would do this, and I have personally taken calls from kids from my law school w/ questions during OCI during days where I bill 15 hours.
How would you react? I felt good about this move before, but now I am thinking seriously about pulling the plug on it and asking for my old job back.
