Hi all, does anyone have experience working abroad at US biglaw while holding a green card?

I'm contemplating working in a US biglaw office abroad. I hold a green card which is subject to abandonment if staying outside of US longer than 6 months. However, there is an exception through filling form N-470 for persons working for US firms that engages in developing the foreign trade and commerce of the US or protecting the property rights of that firm outside of US.

Can anyone speak to whether biglaw offices abroad falls within this exception?

Probably best to check with your firm's (internal or external) immigration attorneys.
