Does anyone have any insight into Sidley's insurance practice in NY? I know they do a bunch of regulatory work for insurance clients but wanted to know what they do for insurance clients with regards to M&A and cap markets work. Interested in potentially lateralling so please keep as anon. Thanks!

For what it's worth, I'm at a B4 (tax) and have worked with SA insurance specialists (tax, regulatory, and corporate) in the M&A context and was quite impressed.

Former associate but not in that group: it's well understood that it's a top practice in the market and even well-regarded within the firm as a rainmaker. My colleagues in the group didn't raise any red flags and they seemed to enjoy the work (but with the usual caveat regarding biglaw hours)
