Has anyone received any firm swag or gifts after offer (but before acceptance)? Is this even a thing?

Not sure exactly how common it is, but the firm I summered at this past summer (I'm a 3L now) sent us Sugarwish as an offer gift- basically we got to pick 4 of our favorite candies and they were delivered to us. We also got sent water bottles, but I can't remember if it was pre-acceptance or not.

How did you know which combination of candy to pick without getting no offered for making the wrong choice?

For offers, I only ever received digital copies. The only physical letters I received were rejection letters from a few firms (only from screeners).

I got a Yeti from a firm post-offer, pre-acceptance

Posting anon b/c I did not accept my firm's offer because I traded up, so my post history makes me easily identifiable. My firm sent us Sugarwish candies (we only got to pick 2 candies ) right after the firmwide announcement that all summers got return offers for Fall 2021. This is in addition to a water bottle, brand-name pullover sweater, and Christmas swag from the post-2L SA acceptance to pre-offer time period. On the other hand, I hope my new firm sends swag this holiday!

FWIW, I got a portable charger from Mayer Brown for just showing up to the callback interview

Post-offer I did not receive any gifts from my V100. I got a formal offer letter via e-mail and then many people who I interviewed with at the firm called and congratulated me.

They did mail gifts during Christmas though and during the summer this year!

Just got an email from DPW about them sending a post-offer pre-acceptance gift Will keep you updated on what it is.

The Debevoise offer letter has you fill out a form with your address for them to send you a "special gift" ... hopefully not a selfie stick ...

Latham gives out at various points a Kleen Kanteen water bottle, a Yeti tumbler, and a Patagonia pullover. The water bottle is pre-acceptance.

Has anyone received the Debevoise gift?

I received an offer gift and accepted the offer pre-OCI, so wasn’t really expecting a holiday gift, but surprised by no holiday greetings at all from my V50. Maybe TLS set my expectations too high!

Does Cravath do holiday gifts for incoming associates?

Also received the email about upcoming surprise gift from DPW, post-offer. Another firm sent a $50 gift card just for CB interview. Also got a box of brownies from another firm with a small summer class size. All NY offices
