Figure I might as well get started on this. HYS, W&C NY have set up a ton of diversity screeners this week. Water cooler says 12/1 may not be as important as previous years because of delayed EIP but who knows. Looks like plenty of firms have even pushed back deadlines to mid-Dec. or won't start reviewing until early Jan / grades.

Interested to hear other early-season activity.

Original anon bumping. W&C referred to White & Case in first post. "Off" markets seem to be going now-ish too (have heard TX, Boston interviews).

Also, Morgan Lewis NY ding last week, consequently have heard about some interviews from that same office

Has anybody heard from any D.C. firms?

First time anon. Curious about Bay Area as well. Have had a few screeners so far.

Non-diversity applicant. Applied to everything there is to apply to, including heavily in TX. One callback there, one ding (MoFo SF), and radio silence from the rest.

I'm at a mediocre T14.

T25 pre-grades. One callback (no screener) with D.C. big law to be scheduled. Passed screeners with in-house tech in SF, final interviews scheduled. Radio silence from everywhere else.

Previous anon here again. Have any of your firms definitively indicated that they will be virtual/remote this summer for 1L SA? In-house opportunities so far have said they will be remote.

I'm T25 but also STEM background and non-URM diverse. I have done a callback with a firm (probably no chance of offer before grades) but for a non-IP position. Haven't heard from anything else (non-IP) as well. Are you doing screeners for IP and/or non-IP SAs?

Sorry for the tardiness of reply. Got dinged in mid-December, after having applied circa Dec 1.

Figured they'd at least do the courtesy of waiting for grades... Nope!

T3 school. Plenty of firms have started hiring pre-grade release, largely correlated with how strictly they view the definition of “diversity”

Yeah, HYS student that got V5 offer in LA

Top 3rd in T25 school, Ding after callback at NYC firm between v40-v50 for diversity position. Ding came 2 weeks after callback.

Any recent movement in TX?

I have not heard a single thing from TX.

There's a 1L at my school (T20) who's going to V&E this summer too

At H, since grades dropped late last month, 1L interviews have been absolutely flying out for most of the V10 (weirdly, more so than V11-25 a little bit); pretty much only WLRK and Skadden haven't gone (and they may have and it's just my ignorance), and even they've done some frisky things (reachouts for grades, stated timelines, dings, etc.)

Any notes on WLRK / CSM?

T6 here. DC firms not in the V10 have been sending out interviews and offers since Jan. Not sure about V10 though.

As for NY offices, I know people who have gotten callbacks for K&E, S&C, Paul Weiss, and other firms in the V10.
