How to land at the CFBP?

So I have a couple of years of biglaw experience (in bankruptcy and some in foreclosure/creditor's rights). I'm interested in possibly working for the CFPB because I find consumer financial protection law to be interesting/important. What's the move here? Is it possible for me to go directly from biglaw bankruptcy to the CFPB, or would I need to get some consumer finance protection experience (either by changing practice areas through a lateral move (my current firm doesn't do CFP stuff), a clerkship or clerkship then CFP law at a firm?). Any advice is appreciated (especially from current or former CFPB lawyers).
