Does anyone have insight into what's going on at Wilkinson Stekloff, formerly Wilkinson Walsh, formerly Wilkinson Walsh + Eskovitz? Four of the six founding partners have left in as many years. Is this just typical, new boutique growing pains?

I think it is typical, but that doesn't mean they will be fine. Many boutiques founded by well-positioned partners from elite Big Law start off strong (for obvious reasons) but then fade out. It is quite difficult to grow or even maintain business when you don't have a corporate department. Usually, you either settle into a small-ish niche (Kellogg Hansen) and do well, or struggle and eventually have to go back to Big Law. There are outliers (Kobre, Quinn), but not many.
