Hi everyone,

Just joined my firm and was told that they would pay $60 per month for cell service. Does anyone if i can get a new cell phone as well? Any suggestions? Basically would like to get a new iphone (11 or 12) and carrier service within $60. Thanks!

This is a typical BYOD program. Your cell phone bill is almost certainly going to cost over $60 (unless you are still on parents plan). I get like $50 or $60 a month, total bill is like $120 or something

It will be interesting to see if firms offer new phones as the WFH situation continues.

Anon for privacy but my V30 firm is not honoring phone upgrades during WFH.

Kirkland is giving new associates iPhone 11's (Pro), not even an iPhone 12...

Lol still beats the rest of us who are using our own phones and all upgrades are out of our own pockets.

isn't that because iphone 12 has yet to ship? and the associates gotta get their phones before then

My firm only gives $40 for phone use. But it also gives $40 for device, which is essentially a free phone on most services. We just get an $80 reimbursement at the end of the month, so I guess in theory the entire amount can be put towards your phone bill.

V10, we are given an iphone, can also add personal cell to internal directory but firm will not reimburse any personal costs, no handset upgrades since covid but not sure if that is a deliberate policy
