NYC Biglaw (v10) litigation??

Is NYC biglaw litigation dying out?? As an incoming NYC litigation associate at a v10, how hard is it to get staffed on anything other than securities (thinking about white-collar defense/investigations or antitrust)? My firm does not have a rigid work assignment system, but in reality do most nyc lit associates end up with securities work regardless of their interests?

Thanks!

No. It's just not growing as fast as corporate or law school graduate population.

No it's not dying, but your firm's litigation department might be in trouble. Firm dynamics =/= market dynamics.
