Does anyone have any insight on Cooley's restructuring group? Are they slammed right now? Any insight on the team personalities, type of work (litigation v. transactional) and what the work/life balance is?

This was recently discussed in another restructuring thread.

Band 1 creditor side anon: never seen them on a deal. Their website makes them look like a preference/fraudulent conveyance/UCC-type litigation shop.

Different anon at band 1 shop (not Kirkland/Weil). I've spent a fair amount of time thinking about Cooley as a potential landing spot but have had trouble figuring out what exactly they do and if there's any growth potential. I've also never seen them on anything (which actually is a positive in my mind from a lifestyle perspective). But my impression is that most of their corporate clients are tech/life sciences which don't naturally lend to the kind of cross-selling to the restructuring practice that exists at my current firm.

Non-Cooley rx associate. They do some UCC work. Can't think of anything else I've seen them do.
