You'll have to define "patent attorney" and "biglaw" to even begin trying to answer this question. Probably somewhere between 10-25%.

As the above comment states, it depends on what your definition of patent attorney is. Patent litigators? Almost all of them work in big law. Patent prosecutors? A sizable portion work in big law, but I would say its less than half. Maybe around 25% (I am interested to hear if anyone has precise numbers).

For patent prosecution its worth noting that, unless you are an equity partner in a big law firm (which is rare in patent prosecution), your pay will likely be pretty similar between big law and small law. I think the main benefit to working in big law as a patent prosecutor is you have better exit options to other patent law firms and in-house positions.
