Has anyone done it successfully since the shutdown started? If so, how long was the timeframe?

I did

I applied in late January and got called for an interview in February. Everything was put on hold until my offer last week. So I’ll say almost 6 months. I’m confident moving because, I believe they weighed all their options and checked their finances and can still afford to keep me. For reference I’m in a niche area of law and lateraling from one Big law firm to the other. Good luck in your search knowing it is possible.

I did, not necessarily during shutdown (March), but a bit earlier on in January.

Applied mid-January, did interviews the following week and the week after and accepted an offer in the first week of February.

Friend of mine applied mid-February and accepted an offer mid-March.

Both were from one big law firm to another big law firm.

Lateraled during the shutdown. Interviewed in the middle of May, offer a couple days later, started at the beginning of June. Went from Big Law to a 30 person shop.
