got an offer outside the 72 hours time frame but within a week.

Is Latham NY doing pre oci?

Latham NY and LA appears to be doing some pre-oci based on what I've heard. However, I have not yet heard of any offers being extended

They are definitely interviewing in NY, unclear about offer timeline.

The firms that I have received offers from are all doing our OCI -- I would imagine most offers will come from the regular process, as opposed to early offers which are likely quite few and far between. I am at a T14 school.

We go to the same school and I have had pre-OCI interviews with NY firms. I am assuming other students also have but I don't know many people interested in NY given the regional nature.

Agreed. The firms are doing pre OCI rn seem to be the firms that have been doing it for the past years. At a T20, some of my classmates have received pre-OCI offers from NYC V10s, pretty sure they're towards the top of the class. These aren't firms that normally come to our OCI though so probably negligible on the overall pool

Data points are a great tool. However, don't ever let them bind you! (Not that anyone is trying to say that.) I am at a low TT who received an offer at a V30 in a major market that never comes to my school from mass mailing. FWIW, nobody in our class has a single V100 offer.

TLDR: Mass mail no matter what, no matter your school/class rank. You never know what can happen.
