Top Law Schools

Hey all, I'm wondering if anyone has or knowns of any experiences where Corporate Biglaw exited to a Solo type role. I'm wondering if it's possible to practice solo if your Biglaw experience was M&A or PE fund formation or Capital Markets type work. It seems like it may be hard to find clients if you're not at a big firm, but maybe people exit to more consultant type roles? I know alot of Biglaw exit to in-house, but what options exist for solo where you're not working under someone else? Any stories or experiences would be helpful. Thanks!

I do know an attorney who left big law for solo around the age of 40 or so. However, his resume is quite an accomplishment for any person.

He was a CPA before attending Baylor law school. Then he joined the Army JAG. After the Army, he joined big firm in Dallas and worked there for a few years. Getting tired of big law, he moved to a city of about 100,000 and went solo. He does pretty well for himself.
