BigLaw Recruiters

Can someone please provide a list of recruiters that routinely have positions in BigLaw and Mid-size law firms?

OP here - I am located in NY and I worked at Top 10 Vault ranking firm.

Literally every legal recruiter out there fits this description. Smaller employers typically won't pay recruiter fees.

If you worked at a v10 and are looking for another biglaw job, I'd start by reaching out to friends at other firms to see if their firms have hiring needs. Personal connections are usually superior to a recruiter. If you do use one, don't expect them to just hand you a job on a platter. Even if they did, keep in mind their incentive is to get the referral fee. They only care if they place you, not if they place you somewhere that's actually a good fit. In fact, it's almost better if it doesn't work out, as their business survives off churn.

THIS.

The recruiter I used to get to my current firm told me all sorts of things I wanted to hear about the firm. It’s a “lifestyle” firm and all of that crap. I lateraled here and I’m miserable. I’m regularly expected to work on the weekends. I work 3 weekends a month (10-20 hours those weekends) on random matters that don’t even have urgent deadlines.

I spoke to another recruiter recently (at a highly-regarded boutique recruiting agency) and he told me that my group is known for being somewhat toxic. He said that if I was looking for a “laid back” atmosphere, I shouldn’t even have considered my group. FWIW, I was willing to take a pay cut when I lateraled and a more manageable schedule was something I told the recruiter I really wanted.
