Does anyone have recommendations on a hornbook that explains the nuts and bolts of civil litigation, and a hornbook that explains the nuts and bolts of corporate terms (e.g., securities, derivatives, RMBS, futures).

I'm a first year litigation associate, and I didn't have an opportunity to really learn about this in law school, unfortunately. Thanks

Barrons has a finance dictionary if you want a hard copy.

Latham & Watkins has the "book of jargon" (online, free) for finance, capital markets and a few different areas that are more specific.

If you've never really understood finance, try Khan Academy or the "Acing" hornbook are good to help you understand stages of the deal. If you're at a larger firm, watch a "Nuts & Bolts" PLI on M&A.
