Take vacation?

Midlevel at a v50. Before schools were closed and we all started working from home, my kid's spring break was scheduled for next week. So, I had requested next week off. Obviously he doesn't have a spring break now. Should I still try to take the vacation?
On one hand, in the current climate I don't want to be the guy billing less than everyone else, nor do I want to be taken off of any matters (my niche work hasn't dried up, but it has slowed, and could slow more). On the other hand, my wife and I both work time and try to parent my young kid as best we can, and not having to work for a week would actually allow me to do some dishes or something. What do you all think?

You are stuck at home anyways, don't take vacation now. If you are slow at work, just find the time to do dishes and hang out with your kid without being official vacay, This is not the time to rock the boat or give your firm anything to question, especially if you're slow

I think its OK to take a vacation but I think you are wasting your vacation if you plan to stay home and do dishes... If it was me, I would maximize this time at work since you are stuck anyway and actually take a nice vacation later when you can actually do something.

Don't burn your vacation just to sit at home. Would be a waste even during good times, but could be career-threatening to take it just ahead of a deep recession. Firm knows you can't go anywhere -- to them, could come across like you just don't feel like doing any work.
And you said you're slow, sounds like you have time to wash the dishes, catch up on Netflix
