U.S. Trustee's Office?
I'm currently a second year in biglaw restructuring. Lately, I've been thinking about my career goals and I'm not sure that private practice is where I want to be. Does anyone have any information about what it's like working as an assistant UST? How difficult are these positions to procure? Is there better work/life balance? If not, what's the reason to work there? Thanks in advance.

They're pretty lean when it comes to staffing. I did an internship at the UST office and It's a lot of court appearances daily over bankruptcy matters (obviously) and the office conditions are not great.
