AMAA: Junior/Mid-Level In-House Litigator in SoCal

I graduated at a T20 several years ago, practiced commercial litigation at an AmLaw 20-50 firm, and currently work in-house doing mostly labor & employment/data privacy for a private company (will not disclose industry for confidentiality). The company has tens of thousands of employees internationally, but our HQ has only a handful of attorneys. Thus, I am essentially the only attorney managing a large docket of cases.

There seems to be limited intel about making the transition from big law to in-house with a litigation background. I'll do my best to answer any questions.

How many years were you at your firm before transitioning to in-house?

What's the comp and QoL like, and about how many hours do you work per week?

Did you encounter any particular difficulties in the interview/application process as a result of being in litigation rather than transactional?

Thanks for doing this.
