I am wondering if anyone out there has any intel about the IBM Patent Center in NY. I have been offered an opportunity and have seen some conflicting information about it.

I have a current coworker who used to do patent pros there. They have (had?) a point based system where you were basically expected to do x number of OA responses every month or quarter. It worked out to something ridiculous like one OA response a week. There was no incentive to do more (ie extra bonus). He was bored to tears and came to my firm. I’ve heard the same story second hand from others who knew folks who used to work there so I’m inclined to believe him.
