Exit Options for European Investment Funds

I’m a European educated lawyer. I currently do niche European-focused work in NYC for a European firm. Clients are US firms dealing with the EU. I’m a rising third year.
I have an LLM, am barred in NY, and am a green card holder. My wife is American and we would like to get out of NYC at some point and move to her regional city (think Atlanta or Seattle).
My question is, is there any way for me to transition to a US law firm doing general corporate work? I feel very pigeonholed. I’ve thought about clerking but would judges go for someone without a JD? Maybe transition to a general business role or go in-house with a client? The problem is I don’t know if there are any of those opportunities in a regional city like we’re considering. I don’t think my experience will be considered useful by any American firm.
