When trying to lateral, is it acceptable to attach your year-end evaluation from your current firm?

I am a V50 corporate midlevel, lower-T14 median. I am in a fairly generic M&A practice. Suppose I want to upgrade to a V10 or a super competitive in-house gig. I am concerned that nothing in my resume really stands out, but I have a couple sparkling year-end evaluations ("best junior/midlevel associate I've ever worked with", etc). Seems like this would be a good way to get some looks.

I can't see this helping you. What are the things that you do that make you the best junior/midlevel people have ever worked with? Bring THOSE qualities out in your resume/cover letter/ interview. I don't think a firm will generally care about what someone said in your review (and there may be confidentiality issues with sharing it), but if those people support you enough to help you find a new spot (say, the know you want to move to a specific M&A subspeciality that your firm doesn't have and they want to connect you with their best friend who works at a firm with that, or get you in house with a client) that could be helpful, but that doesn't sound like what's happening. I think the general consensus (barring some sort of outside factors) is not to tell anyone at your firm when you're looking, so I'm not recommending you go to those lawyers who love you and tell them you want to trade up to a V10 - I just don't see how having these reviews will remotely help you with another law firm unless you can get these people to actually vouch for you.
