$5000 Salary Increase?

Post by Anonymous User » Mon Dec 23, 2019 5:05 pm

I am at a Mid-Sized firm and my salary went from $130K to $135K. Maybe I am just being greedy, but I was hoping for an increase more than 5K... At this rate, I shouldn't expect any major salary raises while at this firm.

Is this normal for most midsized firms?

Depends on market but overall, yes, this is pretty common for midsized firms.

Even in NYC, for non-Cravath scale firms a $5k annual raise is pretty typical.

How much did you bill this past year? Can you make the argument that you'd cover a 10,15 or 20k raise?

5-10k at a non-lockstep firm sounds about right.
