YLS OCI/FIP 2019

Someone had to start it. How are people doing? I get the sense that most of our class is going for DC? (Not sure if that’s perception or fact) Rumors that firms are downsizing their summer class to prepare for a recession? This would be helpful for future generations of YLS and also useful for people going through the process right now. Please share what your experiences have been! And good luck!

I went 4 out of 6 in DC (for callbacks) but my on campus interviews were very hit or miss. also interviewing with some firms in NY as insurance just in case DC doesn't work out. Think a lot of people are doing something similar

Also should add I think (or want to believe) that on-campus interviews are more competitive than the actual callbacks because during the OCI stage, you're going up only against other YLS people so when each interviewer (for DC) is submitting 3 or so names for callbacks (out of the 12 or so they interview), your YLS degree means nothing. Whereas in the callback stage, i think it matters more?
