Starting Salary for Big Four

I haven't gotten any concrete info re: how much I can expect to make my first year in NYC Big Four. I don't have an LLM, so I think that might skew the typical numbers downward. Is 95k a reasonable guess?

Yes 95k is a reasonable amount if you're in a big city, even without an LLM. I believe it starts at something like 120-135k in bigger markets and dips to about 95-110k in the regional areas. If you're talking about NYC you could likely reasonably expect something around 95-115k, although without an LLM you are correct that the number goes down a bit. Going to the big4 with a JD is unusual enough where I don't think there's a lot of solid info.

There are plenty of threads though, a couple from last year. I would suggest taking a look at them.

Thank you! 95k is what I would conservatively guesstimate based on those threads. At the risk of outing myself, attend a T25 and struck out in OCI last year until this miracle position landed in my lap. I can give you more details via PM.

Laser-focused on getting that offer now. Is it like biglaw where as long as I'm coherent and somewhat able to work I'll get it, or do I really have to distinguish myself from my peers? Is there anything like NALP for the big 4?
