Sidley Austin v. Sheppard Mullin (LA)
Interested in corporate/transactional/RE. Was offered a Sidley Diversity Scholarship as well.

If you really liked Sheppard, I could maybe see an argument for going there, but the Diversity Scholarship makes this kind of a no-brainer. You never know if you'll even like big law, and $20k makes this decision a bit of a no-brainer.

If those are your two choices, I would definitely pick Sidley. It seems like they are really growing their corporate practice and based on my interactions with their associates they seem to be pretty normal. Shepherd just doesn't have a big presence in LA. You can't go wrong with either, but Sidley seems to be bigger in LA.
