the title is pretty self-explanatory... I got a 3.33 at a T14, with a 3.35 median gpa :( :( Any idea how far am I below the median? And some law firm's online applications ask for class rank. I can't put 50% right??

If they ask for class rank, put N/A. I don't think any T14 ranks (though, maybe Chicago does?). You're probably at the 52-54% mark.

I don’t think we have enough information to say how far below the median you are, rank-wise, but no, you can’t say 50%.

My t14 doesn't rank and we're specifically told not to attempt to guess at rank. You need to put N/A.

I believe I know what school you are at. The other posters are correct, do not guess at your rank. Also, you're a negligible amount under the median so if you're worrying like it seems you are, you should actually be fine. You're like the first person under the median

I think your average biglaw firm is just going to consider you as median t14 student anyways

Seconding Carson here. You are going to be treated as a median candidate and should accordingly focus on non-grade-selective, large class size NYC firms. As long as you bid appropriately, don't worry. Median at a T14 is a good place to be re: landing BigLaw.

(P.S. To be clear, do not attempt to guess at your class rank. Put "N/A" if required to input something.)

You're trying to guess your rank when you're .02 off your school's posted median?

Your grades are average. No firms are drawing those thin of lines, even if they say they only take the top half of the class. Put your GPA and if firms ask your rank tell them your school doesn't rank, which is true of all T14s that im aware of

Thanks so much for the reply!

But I already applied to some of the firms, and I probably said something like I ranked 53/54%ish, which I guessed, but I mentioned my school does not rank, and the class rank is not official... Should I email them to update?

It was transparent from the start what you were trying to do. You should not have done it.
