Midlaw 2L summer -> Biglaw.... how unlikely?

How likely would it be to move from a 50 lawyer firm 2L summer to a big firm?
Secondary market, T2 school, top 15%, moot court

Not very likely. You might be able to make it happen by mass mailing, but don't start counting your chickens because they probably ain't hatching.

Work hard to get magna during 3L. Depending on the school and market magna T2 can get you biglaw. Know several people at my V10 with these credentials, mostly in specialist groups (think real estate, benefits, securitization, etc.).

I think this is a pretty big uphill battle unless your school is in the biglaw market where you're applying. This doubly true since you missed a 2L SA.
Focus on what you can control (grades). If you are in lit apply for clerkships, that's a good way in. Otherwise I'd try lateraling in when you have solid midlaw experience

Best shot is just going to midlaw, then waiting for the market in your arena to get hot and moving to biglaw. Super unlikely, at this point, to land it straight out. If lit, clerking at ssc or fed is also a credited response.

Biglaw midlevel associate/on recruiting committee. As others have said, it will be an uphill battle. Are you interested in corporate or lit (or something else)? Clerkship could be a good "second shot" if lit. Are you interested in leaving your secondary market for a biglaw gig? If so, nothing to lose by targeting NYC, for example, if you want to be there. I think it's worth a shot to try. I'd recommend reaching out to alums of your school for some informational interviews to put some feelers out.
