SEMJF 2019
Pre selects just displayed. Figured I'd start the thread to share info and see how people did. If you're willing to I think it'd be helpful to others and future participants if you listed your school rank, class rank, and # of pre selects.
School Rank: T1
Class Rank: Top 10%
# of Pre selects: 9 pre selects and 3 alternates.

I’m sure it’ll be the same! Seems like there was a glitch with some firms’ access to Simplicity & they’ll be “live” tomorrow.
Good luck!

Thanks OP for making this thread. I also got super excited this morning, all to find out that it could all be incorrect. If correct though, here are stats:

Class Rank: average
Bidding: 6 preselects/6 alternates

Bump? No other participants?
How about people from past years? How did you think the screener to callback ratio compared to OCI? I've heard that its harder to convert job fair screeners into callbacks.

Re: SEMJF 2019
Does anyone know what the numbers next to the "alternate" listing means? A couple of my alternatives list 4 and 7 - the others don't have a number?

Re: SEMJF 2019
It's your alternate rank. Alternate (4) means you're fourth in line to move into the schedule should there be a cancellation. I would assume that the ones that don't have a number mean that you're first in line should their be a cancellation but the SEMJF materials don't say.Anonymous User wrote:Does anyone know what the numbers next to the "alternate" listing means? School Rank: T1
Class Rank: Below Median
# of Pre-Selects: 3 preselects, 2 alternates
*#7 for one alternate
*no number beside my second alternate so guessing I am first on the list

Re: SEMJF 2019
Do you guys also keep getting emails about “new invitations” with the same firms every day, only to find no change? Do we just get updates every time a firm’s office updates their invitations? Or is it just a glitch?
Thus far I have 2/6 pre-selects, no alternates (pre-select for my “reach”, nothing from smaller firms). Top 15% at a T1. Targeting big law in South FL.

Yes, I think it's just a rolling list that they're adding to as new employers put out their pre-selects and alternates. I haven't noticed any changes either.Anonymous User wrote:Do you guys also keep getting emails about “new invitations” with the same firms every day, only to find no change? Re: SEMJF 2019
Anyone else have interviews back to back in what looks like different rooms? Makes me a little nervous.

Re: SEMJF 2019
Any past participants have any insight into callback or ding timelines? Looking through past threads it seems like a lot of employers just pool SEMJF participants in with their standard OCI interviews. Here's hoping for some movement tomorrow.

Still no movement from any of the NY offices. Are they waiting until after school OCI?
