Letter Grade or Pass/Fail

Will my firm care if I elect to receive pass/fail instead of a letter grade for an important class in my practice area (think M&A for corporate or Evidence for litigation)? I got a B+ and if converted to pass, it would increase my overall GPA. But I don't want my firm to assume that I receive a C or worse. Graduating 3L.

I doubt it. If you do the entire 3L year pass/fail that might raise some eyebrows (not at your current firm, but if/when you decide to lateral) and I wouldn't do that absent truly atrocious grades. But having one more Pass instead of one more B+ won't cause anyone to notice. They may just assume your school grades that class Pass/Fail.

Don't stress about it. I do a lot of M&A work and pass/failed it and don't think anyone blinked twice.
