GPA Rounding on Resume Question

This might sound like a stupid question, but my GPA is a 3.7983 and I wanted to know if I can round to a 3.8. It seems that we can generally round up at the hundredths place--which would be a 3.80. It's not really a huge difference, but there is definitely a psychological difference between a 3.8 and a 3.7x.
Sorry, I know this is such a minor issue, but maybe you all could give some guidance.

Your school may very well have a rule on it. Mine allows us to put the whole thing, truncate it at the hundredths, or round down at the hundredths. No rounding up.

If you are a lateral (where grades matter less) then it's not a big deal. If you are a law student then no. For one, frms might see it as an attempted to get above a cutoff, no matter how close you are. Others may be just turned off
