Top Law Schools

Starting to get desperate in the vale, have an interview coming up with Lewis Brisbois in a non-insurance defense practice in a major city (l&e/commercial lit). What are the exit options like out of THOSE groups? I really can't be picky at this point but I should know before taking a plunge. I'm also kinda worried that even though the positions aren't in insurance defense, I'll still get the shitty ID work.

I've seen a lot of people go from Lewis Brisbois employment --> Ogletree/Jackson Lewis --> biglaw. It's doable, just takes longer than a straight shot to biglaw from law school (goes without saying). Just make sure to network while you're at Lewis, acquire as many skills as possible (gun for taking/defending depos, drafting substantive motions (MSJs, etc), and possibly second-chairing a trial or two).

Yes I will say that associates can do substantive work there is the silver lining. even the negative reviews of the firm highlight that. i feel like my entire career has been an extended shot into big law so that doesn't bother me so much but it's definitely not ideal!
