Hi All,

I'm interested in Capital Markets work and will be working as a summer associate in Texas. Is the type of CapM work there of the same quality/type as you'd find in NYC or SF/SV? If not, is that a problem for exit options and how might it be different?

Thanks!

Houston Capm is really good, but your exits and focus will be energy related clients, which is obviously very diff from the other markets. Also little to no VC funding in Houston (as opposed to NorCal).

But overall, the work is sophisticated and very tied to oil prices. Have seen VE alums go to public energy companies in their securities department, small minority exiting to banks, and a couple exit to places considering going public in the next couple years.
