Is it a good idea to chase a partner for a job application on LinkedIn? Anyone has done that?

Is this the only contact information you have for the partner? If you have an email, you should definitely use that instead. And it's probably not a good idea to "chase" a partner for an application regardless of the medium - sending one follow-up email after an initial conversation is fine, but if you've already reached out and heard nothing, I wouldn't keep at it, unless there's another information we're missing.

If they aren't responding to your emails, hard to see them responding to your LinkedIn messages or whatever.

Stalking has a low success rate as far as successful job search strategies go.

Actually not a terrible idea. Do you have LinkedIN Gold?

Depends on how you go about it.
The partner probably won't hire you anyway - so you have nothing to lose.
The worst they can do is ignore the message, or say no. Even if they say: "hey, weirdo, stop stalking me, thanks", there's no skin off your back.
People on this forum seem to have a weirdly risk-averse approach to the job search.
I would go for it - but don't send some message that sounds robotic. Try to establish a personal connection, or research some work that the partner has done specifically, and talk about that.
