DLA Piper--Quality of Life

I've heard that DLA has a very flexible work from home policy, in part because they expect you to always be available. Does anyone know if there is truth to this? I also know that their vacation is "discretionary"--this sounds like people don't typically take vacations. Anyone have insights on this? I'm mostly interested in treatment of SV/SF associates.

With the caveat that DLA is notorious for its culture/day to day experience varying by office, I have heard anecdotally from several sources (who have had experience at DLA and other lockstep market firms) that DLA has a better QOL than the other market lockstep firms from which these associates came...or in one case lateraled to.

So yeah. It’s only v30 or whatever instead of v10, but it pays like a v10 and is supposedly not a sweatshop. I’d go for it.
