Using multiple recruiters in same region

I’m working with multiple recruiters in SF/SV and I’m wondering if I should transition to one. I used a couple because they all recommended different jobs. However, I think one blanket-applied to a ton of firms without my knowledge. Obvious this doesn’t look good for me to either the firm or my other recruiters (if they try to submit with my permission to a position I unknowingly was submitted to).
Has anyone been in a similar situation? Is the best thing to do just to wait it out a year then try again using a more reputable recruiter (or by applying by myself)?
I’m not in a rush to move. I just wanted to test the market. So I have no qualms waiting a year to fix this screwup

Can you share the names of the recruiters you're working with so we can give you feedback? Mix it in with some that you're not working with if you need to protect your identity.
I would say the big thing is to not be car salesmaned into one that promises you the world, but can't deliver shit. If you have one jackass who applied to stuff without your approval, my thought is to explain that if your actual recruiter says a firm already received your application.
The benefit of working with two recruiters is they each have their own connections and methods. But I'm not a fan of the blind submit where a recruiter sends your stuff everywhere. Also try leveraging your connections. I've heard that's the better way to do it. I'm in the process of lateral as well and looking at the Bay Area as well.

What makes you think one recruiter blanket applied? Have you asked them a pointed question?

The other recruiter asked if they could submit a resume in SV. I said yes. They came back and said that someone had already submitted me in SF.
