Does the stress never end?

Does the stress go away if we go in-house? Or will this just be a part of life from now on? I know other careers have lots of stress but wanted to know how it looks mid career. I figure junior partner has to be the worst job imaginable with regards to stress, but fortunately, I don't think I'm on partner track.

I don't find in-house to be unduly stressful, but I'm also not the type to stress. There are fewer firedrills and tight deadlines than biglaw if that's what you are looking for. On the other hand, there are more layoffs, and such layoffs likely have less warning that you would get in biglaw- there's a different sort of stress.

In answering your question, it might be helpful if you more specifically articulated the sources of your stress. Maybe with little anecdotes, so in-housers can tell you if anything similar could happen.
