Any chance for a internship this summer?

I’m a 1L at a top 30 law school. Ranked in top 20% of class after my first semester grades and I am a URM. Didn’t get a single screening interview from OCI. Have basically been rejected for everything I’ve applied for already. Any hope for still finding an internship this summer?

Yes, totally doable. Have you applied for judicial externships, yet? State agencies? Apply broadly - it takes lots of applications, sometimes. Just put in the work and you will find something. the point of 1L summer is just to get some experience and a great writing sample. Also, it provides a lot of conversation during 2L OCI. Good luck!
