Has anyone accepted an informal verbal/email offer for Tax? If so, has there been any subsequent communication? Formal written offer letter? Background check info? Status update on Avue?

Its been a while since I did SLIP tax, but I recall there being a quiet period after I accepted the offer. Never got confirmation on the background check. Eventually I got an email about scheduling my start date.
