Top Law Schools

1l at a lower ranked T14 who was born and raised in LA. I was hoping to get some insight on the Southern California market. I understand that 1L SA are rare to come by. What should my summer application spreadsheet look like? I'm hoping to get something paid... are there any in-house positions that pay well in the are? All in all, I'm the first of any friends and family to go to law schools so all advice is appreciated. I would also be considered a "diverse" candidate if that helps.

*edit: I am looking for something corporate related, not interested in litigation or IP.
