Contemplating a lateral move there. Anyone have information on the office via friends who work there/personal experience?

friend who summered there seemed to have loved it and was pretty close to going there over a major market. they have a really bad rep in Charlotte, but it MIGHT be due to a partner who, according to someone there, doesn't work ther anymore (and they claim the culture has really turned around, which might be why my friend enjoyed his summer) - may or may not be true. I'm sure it's definitely a much better place to be than Cadwalader (their rep is basically that it's the worst big law firm to work at in Charlotte).
