LLM/3L/Entry Level Hiring Timeline

Hi All,
I'm an LLM, but I assume that my question applies to 3L and entry-level hiring as well. I've interviewed with a few firms over the last few weeks. Some indicated that they would be in touch in the next couple/few weeks, one just said they would be in touch soon.
I know that during the 2L hiring cycle, recruiters often say they will have an answer in a week/2 weeks, but those firms often extend offers to preferred candidates within a day or two and can leave others waiting for several weeks while they evaluate how the class is shaping up. During those times, the hiring committees meet often.
How does this work for LLMs (coming in as first years), 3Ls, or entry-level candidates?
