I need to come up with a topic for my law review article and I have literally no idea. Tell me some ideas. Anything interesting/important/relevant/something to fill 30 pages. Thank you.

Everyone and their sister wants to write on some sexy con law/human rights issue. Write in a lesser-studied area. You'll have less competition, less of a struggle to find a unique argument to make, more of an impact (due to scarcity of scholarship), and also less research to do (again due to scarcity of scholarship).

Try torts or family law. Or even civ pro. While not often considered sexy, these areas of law are critically important and probably affect more people more profoundly than many of the big-ticket con law issues. For example, most people aren't trans, let alone trans and wanting to serve in the military. But half of all marriages end in divorce. Almost everyone will be involved in a motor vehicle accident at some point in their lives.

Why not let us write the paper for you and skip that part too?

Find a professor that you like, and ask if there are any interesting circuit splits or topics in their general field that needs researching. Then you have a prof for your note as well.
