CSM Laterals (vs others)

Lucky enough to have an offer at CSM; considering them, STB and Skadden. Looking to do transactional. I’ve heard lateraling or exiting from CSM is extremely rotation-dependent and you’re at a disadvantage when you’re up against someone who’s had three or four years of focused experience (i.e. in M&A). Can anyone give insight into how true this is?
Thanks for any help!

You will have an equally easy job lateraling from any of these firms. No way that the difference between the firms will matter more than your personality/interviewing ability/etc.

Thanks. Wondering if the shorter rotating/quicker specialization at STB/Skadden is a better long-term investment than one or two 1.5 year-stints at CSM.
